The Pinport guide

Connect your tools

Let your saved links work with the tools you already use.

Start with one small workflow

An AI assistant needs nothing built: connect it, approve it in Pinport, and ask it to find something you saved. For the API and webhooks:

  1. Create an API key or webhook in Settings → Integrations.
  2. Choose the smallest useful action, such as saving a URL from a form.
  3. Test it with a disposable bookmark and check the resulting title, note, and tags.
  4. Add handling for failed requests and duplicate events before relying on the workflow.

Integrations require account access. Keep API keys and webhook secrets on a server or in your automation tool’s secret storage. A connected assistant never receives a key: you approve it once and can remove it at any time under Settings → Integrations.

Choose the right starting point

Connect an AI assistant when you want to search, save, or tidy up bookmarks in a conversation, without building anything. Use the API when another tool needs to ask Pinport to do something. Use a webhook when Pinport should tell another tool that something changed. Automation platforms can connect through generic HTTP and webhook steps; this does not require a native Pinport connector.
