The Pinport guide
Work with multiple bookmarks
Turn a handful of small tasks into one action.
Select bookmarks on desktop
Choose Select above your bookmark list, then click the links you want to include. You can also hold Ctrl on Windows/Linux or Command on Mac while clicking a bookmark. Shift-click selects a range.
Use Select all to select the current results, including results further down the list. Filtering or searching first makes this useful for one project or topic.
Select bookmarks on mobile
Choose Select, then tap bookmarks to toggle their selection. The selection toolbar shows how many are selected. Open its More actions menu for actions that do not fit on the screen. Exit Select mode to open links normally again.
Choose an action
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Edit tags | Add or remove tags across the selection. |
| Open | Open selected links in browser tabs. Your browser may ask to allow popups. |
| Copy URLs | Copy the links, one per line. |
| Export | Download the selected bookmarks as an HTML file. |
| Delete | Remove the selected bookmarks after confirmation. |
Selected bookmarks can remain selected when you change filters. Pinport shows when selected bookmarks are outside the current results. Clear the selection if you only want to act on what you can currently see.
Edit tags together
The tag editor distinguishes tags on all selected bookmarks from tags on some of them. Adding a tag applies it to the selection; removing one removes it from the selection. Unchanged tags stay as they were.
For example, filter by Research, select the links for your new project, and add Website redesign. Those bookmarks keep their other tags.
Delete carefully
Review the count in the confirmation before deleting. For a large cleanup, export a backup first. Removing a tag in settings is different: it keeps the bookmarks.
Keyboard shortcuts
Ctrl/Command + A selects the current results when you are not typing in a field. Delete opens the deletion confirmation for a selection. Escape closes the current editor or selection. See keyboard shortcuts →
