Terms of Service
Last updated: September 19, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Pinport, including its web application, browser extensions, mobile apps, and the interfaces through which you connect other applications to your account (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Provider
binked UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Zugmantelstr. 34b
65510 Idstein
Germany
Represented by the Managing Director: Kevin Simon Schmidt
Register court: Amtsgericht Wiesbaden, HRB 36874
Email: contact@pinport.app
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally permitted to use the Service in your country.
3. Account
You may create an account using:
- Email and password
- Google Sign-In
- Apple Sign-In
Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Use of the Service
The Service is intended to be used to save, store, and organize bookmarks (URLs and related metadata).
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass security or access systems without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
- Upload or distribute harmful, illegal, or malicious content
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Use automated tools to overload, attack, or scrape the Service in a way that may harm its operation
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or legal risk.
4a. Connected Apps and AI Assistants
Paid plans include an interface (an MCP server, Model Context Protocol) through which you can connect AI assistants and other applications of third parties (“connected apps”) to your account. A connection is made only when you approve it for a specific app while signed in. You can see and end every connection at any time under Settings → Integrations.
What a connected app can do
Within the permissions shown when you approve it, a connected app can search and read your bookmarks, notes, and tags and, if you allow it, save, change, and delete bookmarks. It acts in your name: what a connected app does through a connection you approved is treated as your own use of the Service. AI assistants can misunderstand a request or make mistakes. Please check what an assistant is about to change or delete, and export your bookmarks regularly if you let an assistant change them.
Your choice of app and provider
You decide which apps you connect. A connected app and its provider are not part of the Service: we do not operate, select, check, or control them, and we do not provide the answers or other content an AI assistant generates. Your use of a connected app is governed by your agreement with its provider. We are responsible for the Service itself, including for correctly carrying out the requests we receive through a connection; our liability for this is governed by section 9.
When you connect an app, the bookmarks it requests are sent to its provider. Connect an app only if you are entitled to share that content, including any personal data of other people it contains. How we process data for connected apps, and the consent we ask for before a connection, is described in our Privacy Policy.
Keeping connections safe
Approve a connection only if you started it yourself from the app you want to connect, and end connections you no longer use. Tell us immediately if you suspect that a connection is being misused.
Limits, suspension, and changes
Requests from connected apps count toward the technical limits described under Fair Use in section 6. We may suspend or end a connection, or block an app, where this is necessary to protect your account, other users, or the Service, to stop a violation of these Terms, or to comply with the law. Where reasonable, we will tell you beforehand or without undue delay afterwards.
The Model Context Protocol and the apps that use it are developed by third parties and change over time. We may adapt the interface, for example the available functions and supported protocol versions, where this is necessary for technical, security, or legal reasons, at no additional cost to you. We do not promise that a particular app can connect or will keep working with the Service. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
5. Intellectual Property
All software, design, user interface, branding, and system components of the Service are owned by the Provider or licensed to the Provider.
You retain ownership of the content you create or store in the Service, including bookmarks, tags, notes, and other metadata (“User Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
6. Payments, Subscriptions & Paddle as Merchant of Record
The Service may offer paid plans. All payments, subscriptions, taxes, invoicing, and refunds are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited (and its affiliates, collectively "Paddle"), acting as the Merchant of Record (MoR) and authorised reseller of the paid features of the Service.
This means that when you purchase a paid plan, two separate contractual relationships exist:
- A purchase agreement between you and Paddle, governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms and Conditions and the Paddle Refund Policy; and
- A service agreement between you and us (these Terms), under which the paid features of the Service are made available to you.
Subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Pricing, billing frequency, and plan details are shown at the time of purchase.
Fair Use
Plans described as “unlimited” are subject to fair use. They are intended for personal bookmark collections and not for automated, bulk, or commercial data storage. To protect the Service for all users, we apply reasonable technical limits, including on the number of stored bookmarks, on how many pages we fetch, index, and check per account and period, and on requests through the API and from connected apps. These limits are set well above typical personal use. If your usage exceeds them, we may pause the affected processing (such as page indexing or link checks) rather than delete your data, and we may contact you to discuss a suitable plan. Search based on your bookmarks' titles, tags, and notes is not affected by these limits.
Refunds and Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA Consumers)
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all statutory consumer rights regarding the purchase — including the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU/EEA pursuant to Directive 2011/83/EU (and its national implementations such as §§ 312g, 355 BGB in Germany) — apply to the contract between you and Paddle and are exercised against Paddle, not against us.
Per Paddle's Refund Policy, EU/EEA consumers may withdraw from a Transaction within 14 days of its completion and request a full refund. This applies to one-off purchases and to the first payment under a Subscription. The right to withdraw does not apply to digital content that has begun to be downloaded, streamed, or otherwise used after you have given express consent during the Paddle checkout to start performance before the end of the 14-day period and acknowledged the resulting loss of your right of withdrawal (cf. § 356 Abs. 5 BGB). Paddle obtains this consent as part of its checkout flow.
To request a refund or exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact Paddle directly using one of the following methods:
- Visit paddle.net and select "Request refund"; or
- Use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your Paddle confirmation email; or
- Email help@paddle.com.
If your refund request relates to a defect or issue with the Service itself (rather than the Transaction), you may also contact us first at contact@pinport.app so we can attempt to resolve the issue. Your statutory rights against Paddle remain unaffected.
7. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not owe uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable or limited because of maintenance, security updates, or disruptions outside our control, such as failures at our hosting or network providers. We keep such interruptions as short as possible and announce planned maintenance in advance where this is feasible.
Your statutory rights in the event of defects, in particular those for digital products under §§ 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB), remain unaffected.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with and relies on third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Google Cloud (hosting, data storage, logs)
- Firebase Auth (authentication)
- Paddle (payment processing and subscription management)
- Optional integrations you configure, such as automation tools (for example Zapier or Make.com)
- Apps you connect, such as AI assistants (see section 4a)
Your use of these third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation:
- for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence;
- for injury to life, body, or health;
- under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz); and
- to the extent that we have given a guarantee or fraudulently concealed a defect.
In cases of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual obligation. An essential contractual obligation is one whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In these cases, our liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded and is typical for this kind of contract.
Beyond this, our liability for slight negligence is excluded. The limitations in this section also apply in favour of our legal representatives, employees, and other persons we use to perform our obligations.
Your statutory rights in the event of defects remain unaffected.
10. Indemnification
If a third party asserts claims against us because content you stored in or shared through the Service infringes its rights or violates the law, you will indemnify us against these claims, including the reasonable costs of our legal defence. This applies only to the extent that you are responsible for the infringement, that is, if you acted intentionally or negligently. We will inform you of such claims without undue delay and give you the opportunity to respond to them.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us at contact@pinport.app.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you:
- Materially or repeatedly violate these Terms
- Use the Service in a way that may cause legal or security risks
- Use the Service in a fraudulent or abusive manner
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a business user, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected.
13. Consumer Dispute Resolution (§ 36 VSBG)
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform (ODR) was discontinued on March 20, 2025, and Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 was repealed effective July 20, 2025. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) within the meaning of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG).
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
